Never left the hotel room the whole day apart from nipping round to the supermarket to buy supplies for my long bus journey and to search for some glue to fix my broken reading glasses. They had fallen off the bed onto the tiled floor and the frame had split and the lens fallen out. I could get by if it were the ones for distance but not my reading pair. I went in and out every shop but nothing. I even tried the chemist but they thought I wanted it for my teeth 🤔

It was a productive day, I booked all my hotels and hostels for the next two and a half weeks.

I still had rolls, meat and cheese left from my supermarket sweep so I made cup-a-soup and put the ham and cheese roll into the micro to have a soggy toastie.

After squashing everything into my bulging rucksack, I showered, blow dried my hair and was in bed for just before 10pm. I had an early pick-up by the Peru Hop bus at 05:16 which meant I had to set the alarm for 4am. a new adventure was about to begin.
