I know I said I wouldn’t start writing until I reached Mongolia but I’ve changed my mind.

I finished my last blog of South America (2019) saying that I maybe 60 but I wasn’t ready to retire my rucksack to the pile of outdoor equipment in the dusty area of the attic so here I am, almost exactly 5 years later heading on another adventure, this time I’m off to Mongolia via Istanbul.

My husband has come with me to Istanbul then we go our separate ways, me to Mongolia and Bill heads home. I’ll be going to isolated areas and Bill doesn’t go where there’s no flushing toilets!
